In line with the recent articles I wrote on Casio watches, I decided to write about whether Casio watches are still cool.
Everyone knows that “cool” is a relative concept. What some people consider cool, other people don’t. But there is a general consensus as to what is cool in the culture at all.
And when you’re buying a watch, it’s important to get something that will be cool and look fashionable and not just be something that you keep in the drawer.
Even if you are not someone who is really very interested in fashion watches and are more concerned with a value watch (one that isn’t expensive, and which will last a long time) you will still want something that looks cool.
So, are Casio watches still cool? They sure are. Let’s see why.
Cool: Fashion vs Cool –Know the Difference
The first distinction to make is between fashion and cool. While Casio watches aren’t normally considered fashion watches in the same sense that Rolex or even a cheap brand like Michael Kors is thought of as, Casio watches are certainly considered cool.
The cool factor has nothing to do with the fashion factor. Watches like Casio were originally popular because they were among the first watches to be digital.
So, the early adopters for Casio watches were computer programmers, hackers, electrical engineers, and scientists.
They then spread out into other sectors and they included lots of sectors such as sports figures and even celebs.

Who Wears Casio? Are These People Cool?
So, who exactly wears Casio watches and does this make them cool?
Well, as I’ve covered on this website before, Casio watches are big with the military. In fact, if you’re heading to basic training, they are one of the best watches you could choose.
Another group of people who wear Casio watches are medical professionals. Nurses, doctors, and other people who work in the fast paced world of hospitals. ER nurses, ICU nurses, doctors, and many other medical professionals love Casio’s. Why? They are durable, they have stop watches, and they are easy to read.
Who else? Athletes. In fact, there is no other brand of watch that athletes love as much. The Casio is found everywhere from Mountain climbing and Mountain Biking to pro athletes who play baseball and other mainstream sports.
Casio watches are cool in part because they are so popular with people who work dangerous, exciting, and cool jobs.
If a Tech CEO wears a Casio, if a special ops Navy Seal or Delta Force operator wears a Casio, and if a heart surgeon wears a casio, then you can understand why it’s considered cool.
Casio watches are cool because:
They’re popular with cool people.
They have a really cool design and look.
They aren’t flashy and desperate (it won’t make you look like a broke wannna be).
